About

I recently graduated from the visual communication design program at Holon Institute of Technology. I am always curious about art, materials and connotations, typography, web design, motion and color. Also find interest in trends and the past and future of graphic design.

“Climax” is a horror film by director Gaspar Noe. Watching it for the first time, I was deeply influenced by the film’s  bizarre, sexual and brutal atmosphere. I was constantly trying to comprehend what was happening beyond the “trip” and understand the characters’ dynamic.  I wanted to know who they really are.  What does their mother tell them? Who are they secretly in love with? Who did they have a fight with and honestly, mainly who slept with whom because after all, the film revolves around a group of young people who just want to have the time of their lives.

I wanted the user to try to piece together the information about the characters the same way I pieced it. I ended up picking a particularly “juicy” approach - Rummaging through the character’s Whatsapp accounts. Using glitches were part of my inspirations that never made it past the brainstorming phase. You’re welcome to read about the reasons why in the page “Things I wrote”.

Before watching the film the viewer learns a little about the characters and the film's tone from Whatsapp video and text messages. After viewing, it’s possible to return to the site in order to piece together information the viewer was curious about and that was left obscure after watching the film.
